CIP Trust
Community Initiatives Promotion Trust Fund

Amos Maliwa
From 1990 to 2007 SCSS collaborated succesfully with the Tanzanian NGO CDTF (Community Development Trust Fund), which was responsible for settlement of projects in Singida. Because of some insecurities within CDTF we decided to break up with our longlasting partner in january 2008.
Amos Maliwa, project leader of CDTF in Singida from beginning, our good friend and collaborator, founded a new NGO in 2002 (CIP Trust – Community Initiatives Promotion Trust Fund), which is our new partnerorganization in Singida. He overtooks all running projects, which were donated by SCSS. Therefore good cooperation in future is guaranteed.
Objectives and aims of our new projectpartner are:
- Facilitating establishement of people/Community identified projects or progamms that are aimed at promoting Socio-eonomic development of the community with special emphasis on the rural people and/or marginalized sections of the society.
- Promoting and assisting the community self help initiatives for improvement of health services and education designed to give the people relevant and adequate entrepreneurial skills for better living standards.
- Assisting establishement of counseling centers for provision of psychological and rehalbilitation services to the vulnerable children, the aged and the pensioners, widows and orphans.
- Mobilization and sesitization of communities on environment conservation through treeplanting to protect the traditional water sources and affected areas.
- Need to promote use of alternative energy sources
- Promotion of environment friendly (non chemical) fertilizer application in agriculture.
