Wilhelm-Kaufmann-Price for Development Cooperation
In honor of co-founder Professor Wilhelm Kaufmann who died in 1999, the "Wilhelm-Kaufmann-Price" for Development Cooperation was created. For the first time it was awarded on 18th March 2002 – the 101st birthday of the big painter.
With this price we want to mark out the commitment of companies and private persons, who stay in tradition with nobility of ideals of Wilhelm Kaufmann.
The award is taking place every year around 18th March in the Romanic Cellar of Hypo (Waagplatz 4, 5020 Salzburg). The price will be a lending picture of Wilhelm Kaufmann and a certification. After one year the pictures change their holder, when the next laureates will be priced.
Laureates 2006:
As private persons Eva und Alois Hager were assigned. They abandoned on their wedding presents and spent the whole money for the Upendo Home for street children in Singida.
Furthermore we thank the Salzburg AG once again. At an internal festivity the employees dispensed money for the Upendo Home for street children in Singida, whereon the concern doubled the amount.
